Diversions

If you need a moment off, here are some entertaining distractions -- mostly games created in Flash. Presented here in no particular order. Enjoy!
  • Mouse 1.0 Ridiculously fun and simple game based on guiding your mouse pointer through a maze.
  • Samarost 1 and 2 One of the most imaginative, engaging, and visually appealing flash pieces I have ever seen. A work of art, and fun too. Expect to spend some time, both solving the puzzles and admiring the artwork. The sequel (Samorost 2) is here
  • Fly Guy Very imaginative flash piece. Guide the Fly Guy through the sky and beyond; see what you encounter . . .
  • Chaos Theory Very addicting, sort of missile-commandish game. Click once to start an explosion among the moving dots, and time it so the chain reaction goes on as long as possible. Don't let the non-English interface intimidate you, the game is extremely simple to play.
  • Letters Fun and (I guess) educational. Type type letters as they move across the screen; don't let any reach the far side of the screen!
  • Asteroids A flash implementation of the grand-daddy of games.
  • TwinSpin A fun little game -- click the mouse to anchor one side of spinning, um, thing, and thereby navigate around the playfield. Just try it out, it's a fun distraction.
  • Penguin batting practice No penguins were hurt in the creation of this game.
  • Modern Living/Neurotica series Not a game, but a series of lightly interactive animations on the spectrum of imaginative to bizarre. Very creative and definitely worth a look.
  • Radiohead Creep animated video Non-interactive. Beautifully rendered and emotive video set to Radiohead's Creep. Watch through to the end.
